SCOPE
The customer advised that they had corrosion causing pin hole leaks to spring up on a long copper pipe. Some of the leaks were in tight and hard to reach locations, but they needed an immediate temporary repair as it was unacceptable to have leaking pipes in the building car park and storage area. The customer required a quick fix prior to conducting a more permanent repair on the pipe at a later date.
SOLUTION
They shut down the pipe and thoroughly cleaned and roughened the corroded area. The pin hole was sealed with Rapp-it Steel Putty and a RAP122 (50mm x 3.6m) bandage was applied over the top. The line was back up and running at full capacity, just 30 minutes after application.
