SCOPE
The customer advised that they had a leak in a 4″ PVC transfer line at a winery. There was a leak near the main elbow of the transfer line, and was difficult to wrap due to the area. The customer was unable to completely stem the flow of the pipe, but reduced the pressure as much as possible.
SOLUTION
The customer cleaned and roughened the damaged area. First the leak was stemmed with the Rapp-it Steel Putty and a Rapp-it Pipe Repair Bandage was immediately applied over the top. Because the customer was unable to reduce the pressure completely, some pipe contents leaked during the repair, but Rapp-it did the job to get the customer out of trouble. The leak was repaired quickly, and the customer was very happy with the finished result.
